Amitia Privacy Policy

This policy explains what information Amitia may handle, how that information is used, what controls users have, how local-first storage and optional private iCloud sync work, and how to contact Zeran Labs about privacy questions.

1. Information Amitia may handle

Amitia is designed to help individuals manage sensitive relationship context. Depending on the features you use, the app may handle:

Contact details and imported address-book fields that you choose to review or add in the app.
Relationship notes, interaction logs, milestones, reminders, cadence settings, and profile preferences.
Export, restore, app-lock, notification privacy, and other configuration data needed to operate the app.

2. How Amitia uses information

The app uses this information to provide the product experience requested by the user.

Display contacts, notes, milestones, reminders, and follow-through workflows inside the app.
Generate reminder timing, insight views, and other relationship-management features chosen by the user.
Support user-initiated export, import preview, restore, and deletion actions.

3. Storage, permissions, and sharing

Local-first, cloud sync is opt-in.

Your data stays on this device by default. It syncs to the private iCloud database under your Apple account only after you explicitly enable iCloud sync on this device.
If you choose to import contacts, Amitia relies on the device permission model and only accesses the data you authorize.
We do not collect or analyze any of your data, and we cannot read your cloud content. Data syncs privately only after you explicitly enable iCloud sync through your own Apple account.

4. User controls and retention

Your data stays under your control.

App Lock protects local data with Face ID or Touch ID.
Users can review in-app controls for export, restore preview, deletion, and privacy-sensitive notification behavior.
If you turn off iCloud sync, the private cloud copy is also removed.
Deleting a contact may also remove associated interaction logs, milestones, and reminders managed by the app.
Exports or backups created outside the app remain under the user’s own control.
